So many things happening...I might not move in with James yet afterall because of weird circumstances that may mean police bursting in at any moment? No thanks?

why is that?  :-\

The roomies are having their ex-con best friend sleep on the couch for a couple of months.
We have to lock all the doors in the house to keep the cops from getting too nosey (oh you know lock doors never make any one suspicious).

and the loads of pot everywhere made me nervous to began with, now we have COPS LOOKING IN?!?!! WTF?! does this guy seriously have no other options but this pothead?!

so james and I are looking at other places to live.

edit: Also not asking us if this would be cool at all was a bad omen to me. Just assuming that we're cool with this..blarg.

Um, no that it's any of my business, but the "ex-con"...  Is he actually "ex" or is he out on parole and just too stupid to
know that "simple possession" for normal people is a "parole violation" and so "back to incarceration" for him?

I am a proper idiot. I booked the wrong flights for the Easter break, so I just had to fork out a load of money to change them. I had Manchester-Belfast then Belfast-Manchester booked instead of the other way around, and I had the date of my return flight a week early. What a fucking tool. Still, this gives me two weeks working at home - both on uni stuff and in the library, hopefully - and then a week at Seamy's before I go back to university properly, so it's not too bad. Just properly kicking myself about the money I've wasted. Will phone the library tomorrow to tell them when I'm back so hopefully I can get enough work to make it back. Gah.

Yes sorry, he's on parole. And he knows it's back to jail, or rather his friend knows, so that's why we have to keep doors locked and walk half way around the house to use the bathroom or cook anything. I really have trouble with the whole "locked doors are impervious to the law" thing.

@savannah get them out. I had tonsillitis constantly until I got mine out when I was 20. I felt better almost immediately. Now I hardly ever get sick.

That's what i want to do too froggy, thanks. I'm so afraid of the operation yet.

I got mine out when I was 4, and I've never had any lung problems. My mum and sister, who both have their tonsils have a lot more trouble with them than I do.

I wish i'd got mine out much before i could remember. But i'll keep in mind, if this shit happens once again until the end of the next month, i'll have the operation.

Lazor beemz? So heartening news :buck2: Actually i watched some videos on youtube which scared the crap out of me  ;D Well, having a scorch in my throat for 1-2 weeks shouldn't be fatal, hopefully.

Have you sat these people down and told them that the locked doors thing makes no sense whatsoever? Firstly, cops don't just cruise into peoples houses off the street with no warning (unless they're using whatever the US version of the terrorist suppression act is, in which case locked doors aren't going to stop them, and you would have bigger problems than a bit of pot), and as you say, it all seems a little bit suspicious having the doors locked all the time.

Also, if they didn't ask before letting this guy crash there for however long, then they are dicks and you should move with nicer people if possible :)

Oh, and I think they still serve you lots of ice cream while you're recovering from a tonsillectomy.   O0

^The thought of lots of icecream is what keeps me alive ;D it's just a dream when i still have these motherfuckers, but yeah i'll go see the doc and ask him to determine a date for the tonsillectomy, thank you very much :)

On the other hand, another random thought: it's so weird that the white towels get dirty in a couple of days though we use them right after we wash our hands.  :buck2: i tidied my flat today and got bored as hell.

Yeah, I was already nervous, but now I'm just down right twitchy. We're looking for a new place.

In the meantime, I told my mother and she close to forbade me to step foot in the house again (close to because I am an adult, but I do respect her opinion and kind of wish the old "my mom wont let me" worked now).

my ex apparently said this to my friend "i know that she still loves me and i love her, but nothing good would ever come of it." ha! way to be full of yourself.

but really, what should i do? i would like her to know that i'm not still in love with her because i thought we were friends now, but i really don't know how. my friend doesn't want to get in the middle so i can't really mention that she told her :buck2:
