I'm actually looking at studying in the States, mostly as a daydream and partly motivated by the desire to run away from my dad to the other side of the world, but it's looking pretty awesome. Lots of funding opportunities, which is rad. And it's AMERICA!! I like to think that as soon as I land Bruce Springsteen will materialise and start serenading me.

Got up at 7. Seminar at 9 in which I was being assessed, so pretty much shaking the entire time. Got through that. Met Matt at the garage, where the new speedo for the bike was being put on.  STILL AT THE GARAGE. Went crazy a few days ago when we chose the kitten and bought a fucking enormous cat activity centre, which should arrive tomorrow.  Haven't eaten anything since yesterday dinner time.  Getting the kitten tomorrow, can't wait! Going to video the meeting of new kitten and resident 1 year old cat.  Shine was taken off passing my driving test when I realised there is no way I can afford to buy or insure a car of my own.

So that's all my random thoughts.

And as for the car of your own, considering all of that crazy debt we're in, i was the last person who could buy a car. I've been saving money since i got my license, i also got some loan from the bank. So for now it seems like i can afford to buy something like a 2001 model Renault Clio.
So just try not to waste your money  I hope you can buy the car of your dreams, soon.

I looked at Renaut Clio's, but my dad would prefer me not to have a French car, on account of the fact that he has no idea how to fix them.  I would also prefer a car I can get fixed for free if needs be.  I looked at some Vauxhall Corsas, too, so they are an option.  My mum is looking into family insurance plans, because her and my dad are both with direct line.  It is clear they both want me to have a car. So they might help me out, even if it's a little loan to help me pay. 

In other news, the cat activity centre arrived today.  It is a monstrosity.  Huge.  Taller than me. Taller than me if I stretch my arms straight up.  It has 10 scratch posts, 2 boxes with windows, 4 dangling mouse toys and two STAIRCASES.  I love it, and so does resident cat.  I'm sure kitten will love it too.

Umm, Corsas seem to be quite comfy and good, and i'm in love with Hyundai Getzs too. I was quite biased about French cars tbh, mostly because their services and spare parts are told to be a little more expensive than its equivalents. But recently i've talked to some people who own Clios, they told me that their cars mostly paid for itselves because they hardly needed to be taken to repair/service. I dunno, for now i tend to look at the Clios, but if i had a little more money, i'd totally go for a Vw Golf or Toyota Yaris.

^Me and some friends were talking about dream cars, I couldn't settle on just one, but someone said his dream car is a Toyota Camry. Just because of how safe they are.

Watching Buffy, and she went out slaying at 8.30pm because it was dark. But it's the summer. Does it really get dark that early in summertime in California??

the closer you get to the Tropic of Cancer (or Capricorn in the southern hemisphere), the less seasonal variation there is in the hours of daylight. Consequently, Southern California gets less hours of daylight in summer than I do here, which in turn is less than you get there; I think Detroit's on the same line of latitude as Rome.

Well, gee! You learn something new every day I would have assumed - and indeed, I did assume - that because it's super sunny over there then it'd have nice long summer days. Like right now it's what, ten to nine? And it's still pretty much light out. Like it's sort of sniffing at evening's crotch a little, but it's a long way from full-on leg-humping darkness. So that's cool.

I like to spring it on old people at parties that I wasn't born until 1992. They freak out.

I got my hair cut yesterday, and I wasn't too keen on it at first because a) my usual stylist left my usual place and is no longer cutting hair, and b) I went for something a little different than usual.
Anyway, when she styled it after, it looked real weird and I didn't like it. But now that I've showered, and styled it myself, I like it more.
