My friend asked me to participate in this 90 day challenge in getting into shape. I'd do it if it didn't require me to become temporarily anorexic. The diet is a package you buy that are basically shakes with some "protein" cookies as solid foods. The shakes are meal replacements for the entire day, so you get all these minerals, vitamins, carbs, proteins, healthy fats, etc that you're supposed to consume in one day. And you drink two shakes a day, you also get pre- and post-workout shakes, some energy drinks, and those cookies. And for the first month this health package costs like $300 which is meant to replace all your groceries. Seems like a genius idea but it's actually not, at all. Your body craves solid foods, to put all those nutrients into liquid form and then drink that for your breakfast/lunch/and dinner is depriving your body of lots of good things. And how the fuck do you poo? Am I going to be pooing liquids?!
There's videos of people doing the 90 day challenge and showing before and after pictures, and while it's really convincing, the ugly reality is that after the 90 days your body just gives up and starts gaining all that weight you lost. There are no easy ways to lose weight and gain muscle and have the body of celebrities in 90 days. It's simply REAL, SOLID, foods (the good kind), and exercise.
On the plus side, these shakes come in 60 different flavours, and taste like cake batter.
Perhaps it's a reference to the song strawberry gashes?
@Topic: I've been up writing since 3am, it's now 8am, I'm about halfway done and my presentation is at 1. It's going to be close, assuming I finish at all D:
I love that song so much!!!!
