Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.

It's incredibly written.
I wanted to read it before seeing the movie. But now I'm not sure I could handle seeing the movie because of how emotional the book is.

Complete Short Stories by Edgar Allan Poe

Some of the paranormal stuff in the stories are really marvellous.

facebook is like the worst book I've ever read. the characters do not evolve one bit and the plot is going nowhere.

Yep... and just try to find a detective-story or police-procedural before "Murders in the Rue Morgue"....

So i'm thinking about rereading them all.

I recently finished "A Dance With Dragons" by George R. R. Martin, "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro and "Deja Death" by Kathy Reichs.

Travelling is when I get the most reading done.

I just brought Trainspotting. Looking forward to reading it, it's so far managed to slip my grasp somehow.

Since my last post I've finished numbers 2 and 3 in the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs and I have started number 4. Summer is wonderful for reading. Later I'll go out into the sun and do some more :)

alternating between 'What Good Are The Arts?' by John Carey and 'Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT LeRoy' by Savannah Knoop.

Both very interesting. I recommend x2.

I finished Trainspotting on my flight home last night. It was really good, definitely one of my favourites to go with the movie.

I'm going to start Watchmen soon. It's another of those that I kept meaning to get, but never got round to it.

I read When God Was A Rabbit today, all in one go. It was... OK. 9/11 happens in it, which always makes me feel totally awkward because I was only 9 when it happened so although I knew about it, it passed me by rather. So reading or watching something about it in fiction always makes me feel guilty for not having more of an emotional reaction to it. I dunno. Also, it's not a very good book. I only bought it because it was cheap and had a cool title.
