23/10 KOKO London
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:06:14 AM »

Hello,
Sarah/Hillary (not a member of the forum anymore, but so you might know who I mean) were talking about doing something for this show and she was going to do this topic thing I think, but she isn't even coming anymore.
We had some ideas and stuff but I haven't really seen anyone in London bother with much Brigade stuff in a while so...If anyone is even up for it, just...post.
Some of the stuff we were talking about had to do with taking themes from the songs...Honestly I can't really remember what the deal was because I was drunk when we were texting about it but we don't really have enough time to dawdle anymore so here is a topic. YEAH.

I want to do brigade stuff! I just have no clue as to what we could do. There wasn't any brigading going on at any of the Dutch shows I've been to and at the Antwerp Evelyn Evelyn gig we just played and sang some songs. Of course in Paris we did more but that's not really giving me any ideas either.

I guess WKAP was easier theme wise for coming up with brigade things. Taking themes from the songs would be cool though. Aaah I'll think about it more when my brain is working properly.

Okay sorry not really helping with this post but just saying I'm in :P

the only idea I can come up with right now is

b&w poorly photocopied 'missing' posters around with
'LOST WALLET' or 'I LOST MY WALLET' and at the bottom 'if found please return to amandapalmer.net'

and another for a 'SMILE dental care' with the slogan 'you're teeth are broken, it's alright! for bookings visit amandapalmer.net'

sounds more street team-y than brigade though?

I must admit that does sound a little more street team-y, but I do like the way you think.

A performance piece with a hostage chair, a typewriter on it and various torture/murder weapons is one of my ideas for this tour.

Planning to hold a verbal debate with a chair, then torture it until it concedes all points?
