I know the last we heard on brigading for the European Amanda solo shows was to 'hold off' on planning until Amanda & the Danger Ensemble got more concrete ideas about what they want to do, but what about the pre-tour show at the ICA - are there any particular plans/themes for that?
If not, I was wondering whether someone could give me some advice - I was thinking of dressing up vaguely army-style and going around before the show giving out little 'missions' to people (you know, fancily lettered etc) - anything from 'pick a stranger to hug' to 'sing everyday in the shower' etc. Is this is any way a good idea?
There are limits to what I can do particularly as I'm currently in India and materials are hard to find; I fly back to Italy on the 19 and up to London for the gig on the 20 so time for organization is shoooort but I'd appreciate anything anyone would be willing to throw out there.
Also sidenote but this might go in a separate thread if a few other people think it's an idea that has merit: BUBBLES, lots of them, at the London Koko show. I'm personally willing to throw in some money to buy lots of party-favour-bubbles to give out to people so we can turn the venue into a massive bubble storm. I know brigading isn't meant to cost money but I reckon this could be worth it if I can get some more people to participate. Of course, we might have to check with the venue if that would be ok, and we might have to make an announcement for people not to blow bubbles DURING the performance (only before, and while waiting for the encore - if there is one (when did people start taking encores for granted? ARGH pet peeve)) so that nobody gets bothered.
Sorry for the chaotic mind-spew.
[sidenote: wasn't sure whether this was more appropriate for the command center or boot camp board; hope this is ok]
