Don't you think we're all overthinking this?

What if this site, this new sort of blog, lost AMPERSAND found, is just written by amanda.. she mentioned a new sort of blog, which would swallow our heads (well: us overthinking it) in one of her blogs: http://dresdendollsdiary.blogspot.com/2008/07/vintage-blog-why-australia-defeats-all.html
maybe this is it?

it's amanda telling us what inspires her.. the dates are approximately right: the blog on blogger is from July 11, where she says the new blog will be starting 'in a week or so'. the first blog on lost&found is from July 15...


of course i could be totally wrong. there is the usage of capitals in the new blog.. that's not very amanda-like...



EDIT: i don't read all of the threads, only what seems interesting to me, so if this has already been said somewhere else, just ignore me please  ;)

I am not saying it isn't written by Amanda, but her blog post that you reference says :

"i'm planning a new blogging system that will SWALLOW YOUR HEAD starting in a week or so. so watch out mofos."

Does a new blogging system mean a new and random blog that isn't on blogspot? Maybe, maybe not.

And swallow your head reminds me of this little guy...     :tongue7:

well, if this is it, it is definitely a new blogging system?

i don't like overthinking stuff, it makes my head hurt. i just think we're all looking for things that aren't there and forget to see the stuff that actually is there

There's an interesting coincidence in Neil Gaiman's "journal/blog" yesterday, although I do believe it's a coincidence, because he's not even the one blogging today, and I don't think he and Amanda went as far as to plan out world events to incorporate in the WKAP media.

Edit: also dayswithmyfather.com link is one of the most touching and incredible sites I have visited in a while.

Im not sure if this is important but post on july 28th quotes arthur lee, the frontman of the band, love. The quote reads:
"I had a dream the other night baby.
I dreamt that i was all alone.
But when i woke up i took another look around myself,
and i was surrounded by fifty million songs."

These are lyrics from a song called "Everybody's Gotta Live." But the quote is wrong the last line is actually "and I was surrounded by fifty million strong." I dont know if this is a simple mishap or a clue. I assume the person is a musician(but not amanda because of the constant capitalization) if this was intentional.

heh, the AUG31 picture is from earlier in the year in San Francisco.

The whole promo campaign for Forgetting Sarah Marshall had tons and tons of fucking signs everywhere that said "I'm SO over you Sarah Marshall" and stuff like that.   At some point, people either started hating it sooooo much or really loved the concept soooo much (could go either way I guess) that they started mocking it and putting up signs and stuff everywhere like that.   I think that particular tree is next to a bus stop and the bus shelter had one of the posters on it.   I think the major issue with the movie posters was that they started showing up waaaaaaay before the movie was even known by most people so not a whole lot of people knew what the hell they were talking about.   But a lot of fairly creative signs showed up because of it so that's probably a good thing.
