Has anyone figured out whats up with the website besides the obvious title reference?

The preorder secret message email had the subject "thank you" and read:

september 8th

you arrive at the house...
nobody's home, but there's something on the doorstep...

The lost (ampersand) found entry for 9/8 is:


I think it's Amanda saying thank you for ordering, I love you.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

But does this mean the tumblr account was only significant for that day?

Re: your side note, I completely agree. Especially dead babies who've been propped up unconvincingly, with their arms and hands hanging limply in their laps, while they 'stare' into the middle distance through heavy lidded eyes. And especially when they bizarrely look a little bit like a frog a la :

I think it was more convoluted than just being linked here, but I think I saw it briefly a month or so ago as well.  Here, Amanda's blog, Beth's, Neil Gaiman's, Kyle Cassidy's...something.  But it was just, oh, neat, at that time.  Now Amanda's implying we should find meaning in it.

On the other hand, Amanda is pretty much always implying we find meaning in everything, right?  I guess that's the point of it all....

Actually I do believe I found it on Google when I was looking for more info about Who Killed Amanda Palmer and some pre-order info.. I was hoping that Amanda would release a special pre-order thingie (Which happened), but as things got closer, I didn't think it was gonna happen.. so I poked around on Googe. I remember finding it.. and not understanding it, so I just moved on. I still don't get it.. and as much as I love Amanda, I'm not gonna spend a lot of time analyzing it, honestly.. My brain hurts trying to keep up with her in just her music sometimes (OK not really, but it can take me a bit to unfold her songs since they have many, many subtexts).
