You should just say  "yes I can do something towards this!" .... you have the basic idea info already! I will hold a pre show meet for participants and throw around some ideas and allocate jobs, according to what people are available/ willing to do.
Just let us know what level of contribution  you want to do.....  I should be able to produce the  memorial invites, but any and all ideas are gladly recieved....

I emailed you, anyhow.
I can bring black balloons and shiny things or something.
I really want to do things and wear an odd outfit, basically.
I like to help.
I sound like a spaz.
I know things I can do but I am pretty sure I cannot...do anything aside from stand around like a dork.
So...My email is basically stupid ranting and I forgot all the slightly more important things I had in my mind.
Almost all of them start with I.

Will have to figure this out exactly but I am sure I can figure something out.

This is quite exciting. I get to leave the loony bin that is my home to do something other than grocery shopping!

edit: that sounds REALLY sad.

As you said that, the girl I am organising it with logged on.
I am not sure what time it is happening but we will meet in Trafalgar Sq. or if the weather is too crazy, probably inside the National Portrait Gallery if the weather is too bad ('cause it's close and I don't like the walking thing  8)) on Sunday.

Okay, we'll probably meet at, as I said, Trafalgar Sq.
Probably around 1-2pm.
Message me if you need any more details or if you think you can turn up but later.
Or email me at audreydoesrule@hotmail.com (yes, awful email address, I picked it in a moment of absolute lunacy).

That's what's going on with my picnic.

My third post in a row!
Anyway, I said in that email that I'd check out flower prices but I had to look after a small child today so I had no time. Tomorrow I will do this.

Also, I am not totally clear on the 'victorian waif' thing. Explanatory pictures would be helpful as I cannot find any because google loathes me and wants to destroy my livelihood.

If anyone reading is was invited to the WKAP picnic on facebook and this includes a couple of people from the football thing, then you were probably sent a message about this thing.

I am sad that you did not reply.

That is all.

I did reply... albeit only on Facebook. Whoops...

I shall reiterate the gist of said reply here:

Yes. I shall be there.

Heh.

I'll be in London probably from the Thursday night (late). I will definitely be available throughout the whole day on the friday. So... count me in.

Not sure if I can manage victorian waif though... ;)

Raliel, PM me if you have any specific ideas... Or, I'll speak to you on saturday in Brighton. :D

Yeah, I think you replied on the message board thing I made?
But I sent a message out to some people and then the...angst is about the fact that no one replied to that.

ALSO, when I said I wouldn't be able to manage the 'victorian waif' thing, I got a reply saying to just turn up in the most fantastic outfit I have available or something..I forget. Something along those lines. If that helps.

So, jeans and a vest then? ;)

I'll see what I can do. My wardrobe consists of the following: Black. Grey. With maybe 5 items in muted colours. I can probably find something suitable for a mock funeral.

I didn't want to post here until I had some more solid times sorted out,
(hate saying I'll be somewhere and then I'm late etc.)
but me and my two friends are indeed going :)
we'll be there before the show and would like to help in any way we can.
We've got funeral-ish outfits sorted (will try to incorporate waif) and can buy (plastic) black roses,
not talented enough for full-on performance art.. but can mourn with the best of them : ]

Responses make the world sing.
*skips*

Fuck. I am good at incredibly stupid responses today.

Well, I'm not totally sure if there are completely specific jobs, unless you offer to do something, but because I am bored and enjoy helping, I am going to say that there is not. Unless you would like to do a reading or something.

I feeeeel like I have no idea what I am on about, even though I am pretty sure I do.

All is right with the world!
PARTICIPATION.......
anyone willing to flyer on the Friday and Saturday..... Either print some of the funerary service flyers, or I will try to keep hold of some.... 500 does not seem that many now! meetup for Friday 9th October for flyering....... 1pm KoKo
meetup for flyering sat 10th October..... 1pm Koko
the actual Funerary service will be held at 5pm but anyone wanting to help set up should ideally be the at least 1 hour before-hand... no amazing performances are required or expected, just good old fashioned mourning and bringing of flowers

if anyone WANTS to do one of the readings, just let me know here!

Yaay for more people! :D

Would it not be Thursday 9th and Friday 10th?

I won't be able to make it up to London on the 9th but will definitely be there at 1pm for flyering beforehand.

I'm going hunting for the parcel tags this afternoon - so will get started on them soon. If you need me to make/bring/do anything else let me know.

I'm back at uni now and my house doesn't have internet yet, so, e-mail/forum access is quite limited but Raliel I shall e-mail you my phone number, just in case you need to contact me for any reason.

Somehow i think that bloated and corpulant fake flowers are kind of appropriate, when all the other flowers we are getting, go in with them, I am sure they will look just fine..... still  ok for Saturday noon at covent garden tube?

It's not that they are super crappy, for what they are. They are just kind of...christmassy. I picked bright pink ones because the red ones were REALLY christmassy.

And yes, see you then.

OH and I got 100 tags...but they are all quite small.
I will be able to fit WKAP on them though.

sounds great!
I am planning to grab a small amount of flowers for our excursion to Brighton

Good idea.
I might also do this.
I haven't painted any gold though (and I'm kind of dreading it as the colours look pretty good to me. But yeah. Once I get gold paint, zey shall be gold).

Do not over stress about the gold paint thing...... It was just me thinking of ways of personalising the flowers a tad.... it would be great for KoKo, but Brighton seems to be less organised and thus we can get away with a bit of flyering and generally looking interesting.... I am making my priest collar tomorrow, so that will happen for Brighton.... and full make-up.
but i will be wearing my usual 18th century stuff, no added frills ( I probably have enough anyway )
I need to get the final prayer books together next week, and am veering towards a few literary references as well as Amanda songs... any ideas?

I have just decided that Strength Through Music and Guitar Hero are the two greatest things ever.
Other than that, I don't think I am going to be any help with deciding on Amanda songs to use.

Why are you blowing up 80 Balloons? and why did you not get a cheap ballon pump?

'tis my dear mother's birthday tomorrow and I offered to stay up late and blow up some balloons. My stepdad brought the balloons home from work and said 'knock yourself out.' and escaped upstairs.
Good people.

I'm not sure. It depends on what my mum is doing. It's her birthday and she is either taking me to Camden to buy a dress for the funerary service (yes, she is talking about buying me stuff on her birthday. I think she may have gone mad. Once we made her forget her age and she had to call her mum, who is all the way in AUstralia and ask her.) or going to some cafe with people she doesn't have to put up with constantly.

You should have said, I could have got them for you with my 50% Paperchase discount... ;)

I am also spending tomorrow looking for a dress, although not it camden. Probably in the charity shops of Bournemouth and all of its boroughs. If I don't find one tomorrow for Brighton, I shall have to up my game over the next week ready for Koko.

The other day I threw away some boots which would have been perfect... I had the usual 'But one day you shall need these boots' reasoning with myself, but decided that I have these dilemmas all too often when 'clearing out my wardrobe' and that I am always proven wrong and NEVER wear the item I decided to keep.

So I rationalised, and threw them away. AND NOW I NEED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :violent1:

You're from Bournemouth? I'm from Bournemouth. What are the chances? Heh. I like this. Where do you live? What do you do? etc etc.

Are you going to Brighton for tomorrow? I shall be there with about 6 other people from Bournemouth (although 3 of them currently reside in Brighton full time). Come and say hello, would be nice to meet a fellow Bournemouthian Amanda appreciator.  O0

Re: the parasol... they sell them where I work, and if I get my discount card by next week I don't mind getting it for you. I don't know if they still have them though... will find out. (I think they probably cost about £20... is that too much?)

Yay! Someone else in Bournemouth! I'm at Bournemouth uni at the moment, so not a true Bournemouthian Amanda appreciator. I'm currently living kind of near the sea, between the town center and Boscombe.

I would have loved to have gone to Brighton but I was at another concert that night, in Devon. We have to meet on Friday.

Where do you work?? I don't recall seeing anywhere down here that sells parasols - if you could get one for me that would amazing - £20 would be fine and I can bake muffins or cookies for you as a thank you lol - seriously, I will if you want, just tell me your favourite flavour. Or I could make some for everyone doing the funerary service???

Which reminds me.
I was going to bring some fairy cakes.
But I forgot. So it's almost irrelevant. Except you reminded me.

Aaaand I got more flowers today. My bedside table (or rather my bedside-metal-crate) and the floor around it are absolutely covered in fake flowers and stalks that I have cut some flowers off of.

I work in Paperchase in House of Fraser and Borders... when you're next in town come and say hi. We sell parasols in HoF, I'll check tomorrow to see if we have any atm - they're more of a summer thing I think. But I haven't got my discount card yet. Maybe tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

What are you studying? Which year? etc etc.

So, assuming I can bunk college on Friday...what are the details? I have my dress sorted. I wanted one of those gorgeous black funeral hats with the veil over the face but I couldn't find any that weren't a ridiculous price.

Hokay.
5pm outside of KOKO.
But if you really want to be involved, I suggest being there earlier.
I don't know what the deal is with everyone else but I believe 'Raliel' said something about being there early and I know plenty of people who will be too.
I am hoping to pass out a few flyers a few hours beforehand, which works so well in theory, but in reality, I will probably roll out of bed way too late to even contemplate such a thing.

I know of a couple of people who will be turning up early, unless they get lazy and don't, which is likely.
But get there as early as you can!!!!!!!

So I can't skip college, unless I'd like my mother to murder me. Class doesn't finish until 4:10 and I'd have to go home and get changed... I'll probably just make it up there for 5:30.  I have my >:C face on right now.

I finished doing all the tags I had and they will probably not be enough.
Shall start putting the covers on the rest of the books (will probably be using slightly unsightly tape as I forgot to get glue but they look okay!!!! I swear!!!) and writing in them and this may take a million years as Ampersand and The Point Of It All both are very long and take up several pages.

that will be fine.... do not worry..... the actual service is scheduled for a 5pm meetup, but proceedings will probably not get into full swing until half past...... also there are things to be done later, inside the venue

Like?

And thank you so much for letting me be involved and 'second in command' and all. It has already been so much fun and I like helping with stuff and...yeah. And I like flowers.

I am starting to feel really, really overexcited, actually.

People are not meant to be awake at this hour.

Edit: The point of this post was meant to be that this is what I sent them and what I have been using to try and convince my friends to go.

'Hello!
It's not too late, it's great to get responses.
Basically, 'The Angel Raliel' on theshadowbox.net is organising a big funeral service thing to be outside of KOKO on the 10th from about 5. Dress up as a mourner and bring flowers and everyone will be happy. Or, if you can't do that, just show up and look awesome and join in. That's also cool. We'll be meeting up possibly an hour or so BEFORE 5 and some of us will be wandering around from around midday-ish.
We'll be handing out flyers and flowers and reading from books that I am trying to work on as we speak (or type).
I'd also suggest talking to Robin, as he is in charge of it all, his email address is:
 raliel@yahoo.com

Hope to see you there!!
Audrey.'

I suck at writing emails.  O0

I'll pick up some flowers from Tescos tomorrow during my lunch break. Anything specific or can I get whatever looks nicest without being horribly expensive?

I don't think it matters all that much, just...what you can.
I got some flowers that aren't all that nice and this was not considered a problem.  O0
I overuse that little thumbs up guy. =\

OH AND ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONLY ONE.

Pictures shall happen. I am going to steal/borrow a good camera from someone tomorrow.

I got a dress.  :D :D :D
It's strapless and kind of shiny and dark, dark red.
Unfortunately I get cold EXTREMELY easily (and I mean very easily.) so I probably won't be able to show it off a whole lot.
But I adore it.

Although, I'll probably wake up tomorrow and go 'It's too cold and I'm too exhausted (yes, I wake up exhausted.) to wear the dress and look pretty. I will be bland today.' and turn up in black jeans and a black top.

Maybe.

I think I've finished doing a bunch of tags too (about 100ish) - hopefully that will be enough??? Were we just putting wkap on them? I have a feeling there was something else to go on them but I have a lousy memory - I can work on them some more tonight if needs be.

What are these books?? I'm intrigued

Yaaay it's tomorrow!  :D (if I wasn't at uni right now I probably would have just jumped up and down with excitement)

Mine also have 'www.whokilledamandapalmer.com' on the back, but I should think that will be fine.
Raliel was going to have books with lyrics and stuff printed or something but isn't and he asked me to make one so I am making a few because I enjoy trying to be helpful (I say trying because I don't know if I actually am).

I'm sure you are helping a lot! Spreading the word about the funerary service, flyering, making tags, getting flowers, being second in command, now making books and everything you'll do tomorrow is most definitely classed as being very helpful indeed! You're doing great  O0

Okeydokey - tags will be done tonight, complete with website on the back (is hand written ok?)

My pictures are on my computer at home. I ended up staying at a friend's house and it was a very nice day yesterday with the weather and all and we wandered around Camden and South Kensington tube station (there is ALOT of aimless wandering to be done there.) and when we were in Camden, we went over the road to see if the chalk drawings were still there (they kiiiind of were.)
I am still at my friend's and I am going out for lunch later so my photos won't be up for a while.
