Anyway, there's a longer story to Jimmy joining Velvet Revolver, he's out in LA now to write songs with them to see how it all feels. Slash has actually wanted him to sing with him for years now, in the first incarnation of VR and even earlier than that. It'll be interesting to see what happens... but Jimmy has expressed loyalty and awareness of concerns from his long time supporters so if he does go through with VR he won't forget the people who've supported him for 10+ years (one issue being that he wouldnt be able to play small solo shows if he's in a huge rock band).

it's a really weird situation, as VR drummer Matt Sorum is in Australia right now...and VR bassist Duff McKagan's other band Loaded just opened two shows in the Pacific Northwest...for Guns and Roses.

Jimmy must be spending the weekend in a basement with Slash and Dave Kushner, all three bashing away on acoustic guitars.
