i like the books so far. i read the first one and am a couple chapters into the second one. i decided to take a break from the second book because i was starting to get the book and the show mixed up.

i FINALLY am caught up.

i actually checked the first episode out (via blockbuster's free rental promo) before it aired last year but then fell completely behind.
i'd been eagerly anticipating it since it was first announced -- vampires+alan ball (six feet under is my favorite show of all time) plus using battle circus in a trailer? i was thinking it was fucking made for me, but since i don't get HBO i had to wait 'till the DVDs were out...

didn't LOVE the first season, but the second is off to an awesome start.

one thing i gotta say.....the music is awesome. not always in a "i like the music they use" way but the way it was for me with six feet under -- what they use and when they use it is perfect and it often gets stuck in my head, especially the theme......i just wish they'd throw some kim vermillion and murder by death in there, somewhere.  O0

Totally loved season one, although it seemed a bit anti-climactic to me. Renee being the murderer was pretty lame.
I'm not enjoying season two as much, but I'm still bloody hooked!

I LOVE Anna Paquin, and is the reason I started watching the show in the first place.

I really don't like the Maryann storyline this season... the rest is alright. Still not as good as season 1. Still 50000 times better than Twilight.

Agreed. The whole Maryann thing is annoying, but still way better than Twilight.

i can't stand maryann. she's like the fly in your house that you can't ever kill. she and eggs are the most annoying characters.

True Blood made me forgive vampires for Twilight.
The books are much better than the show but it's still pretty awesome.

personally, I love Maryann, but more because the actress is so excellent. her plot has dragged on waaaaaaay too much. it was so worth it for Terry's lines tho. WE WILL UN-FUCK THIS SITUATION AT A LATER DATE

I really couldn't get into the books. I liked CH's humor but everything else was sort of lacking imo
