Pretty much everything from Fight Club, actually...

Trust me, if I could, I'd quote the whole movie.
And book.

True pieces of art! I was looking for photos of Tyler to paint yesterday. Palahniuk is the man.

I was really hoping they'd make an Invisible Monsters film. Some of the quotes in that one...oh shit. I nearly cried.

I do wonder why more Palahniuk books haven't been filmed after the success of Fight Club? I want to see Lullaby as a film! Or Rant, although it might be tricky to film.

Right. Film quotes.

Magnolia has some great ones.
"RESPECT THE COCK AND TAME THE CUNT! Tame it! Take it on headfirst with the skills that I will teach you at work and say no! You will not control me! No! You will not take my soul! No! You will not win this game! Because it's a game, guys. You want to think it's not, huh? You want to think it's not? Go back to the schoolyard and you have that crush on big-titted Mary Jane. Respect the cock. You are embedding this thought. I am the one who's in charge. I am the one who says yes! No! Now! Here! Because it's universal, man. It is evolutional. It is anthropological. It is biological. It is animal. We... are... men! "

"And the book says, We might be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us"

"Want to know the common element for the entire group?... I'll tell you the answer: I'll tell you, 'cause I had that one. I had that question... Carbon. Carbon. In pencil lead, it's in the form of graphite and in coal, it's mixed up with other impurities and in the diamond it's in hard form. [Jimmy Gator impression] "Well... all we were asking was the common element, Donnie... but thank you for all that unnecessary knowledge... haha, kids! Heads so full of useless knowledge. Thank you. Thank you." And... no, it is not dangerous to confuse children with angels!"

Man I really want to see that film again now.

[after watching Point Break] I won't argue that it was a no-holds-barred adrenaline fuelled thrill-ride, but there's no way that you could perpetrate that amount of carnage and mayhem and not incur a considerable amount of paperwork. Nicholas Angel, Hot Fuzz

So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false. The truth is that I'm a bad person, but that's going to change, I'm going to change. This is the last of this sort of thing. I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life. I'm looking forward to it already. I'm going to be just like you: the job, the family, the fucking big television, the washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electrical tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisurewear, luggage, three-piece suite, DIY, game shows, junk food, children, walks in the park, nine to five, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family Christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption, clearing the gutters, getting by, looking ahead, to the day you die. Mark Renton, Trainspotting

(In Rorschach's Journal) Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No." Rorschach, Watchmen

:D

Chuck P is THE most quotable author I know.
Invisible Monsters is my favorite book of his, and if they do make it into a film (like they said they would ages ago), it could go one of two ways:
a) Genius, cult movie like Fight Club
or b) Cheap sex comedy like Choke

Ok, yeah, movie quotes!

“If I did have a tumor, I'd name it Marla.”

“My God... I haven't been f**ked like that since grade school.”

“I got in everyone's hostile little face. Yes, these are bruises from fighting. Yes, I'm comfortable with that. I am enlightened.”

Oh, viva Fight Club!

Hah, I find the little story about that funny... As in the book, it was "I want to have your abortion" but the producers really didn't like it, so they said just change it to anything else... They didn't like that one, either, but by then the director said too bad, this is the one we're keeping.

Yeah, apparently there were huge disagreements between the director and the studio.
I did an oral presentation on Fight Club =)

I love the way Tyler comes in and says, “You've got some fucked up friends!” after sleeping with Marla. That part always gets me laughing.

I do like your avatar as well... Clearly you are a person with good tastes of books/tv/films :)

I just love Six Feet Under, I could quote that show so much but obviously, it's a series, not a film... So not the right place I suppose.

I adore Six Feet Under!
I'm only halfway through the second season, but I'm already in love with it.

Oh man, if that's the case, you have sooo much to look forward to... I love Claires and Davids storylines... And Ruths... The first episode of season 2 was so funny, with Ruth "accepting" Davids gayness. Last autumn I just watched all of the boxsets back to back  :D

Cool! Claire and David are my favorite characters!
Ruth is so creepy, haha. I love when she's trying to be politically correct and tells David he can bring a “special friend”!
