Apparently they cripple you.  If you put your children in Uggs when they are young, they will learn to walk funny because they are so oddly shaped.  Also, a girl got on the bus yesterday wearing Uggs and slid about 2m down the bus when it set off.  No grip, whatsoever.  So however much people say 'they're totally hiking boots!' which I've been told, they're NOT.

Uggs are slippers. You are supposed to wear them around the house in winter when no one is looking. They were never intended to be worn outside and definitely never meant to be worn by kids learning to walk (they are hard enough for adults to walk in). And yes they are called uggs because they are so damned ugly.

Yes, they are awful for your feet and are just hideous, but they are very warm, as they are lined with fur. More often than not in sunny SoCal, we see them worn in this manner, and those of us with more than half a brain want to scream "ARE YOU COLD OR ARE YOU WARM? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING AFTER SNOW BOOTS WITH NO LEG COVERING?!?!" They make me have brain hemorrhages. Even thought I bought and sometimes still wear boots similar to these called Bear Paws. I don't wear them often because of the shitty support, and I usually have my foot all taped up on the inside...

i'm not sure i mean kangol but i bet i do.  frankly i heard the word on abfab first, and both joanna lumley and jennifer saunders pronounce it 'kagool.'  here i'll use it in a sentence; 'saffy, something in a blue kagool is hovering outside the door to talk to you.'  so kangol never occurred to me.  mainly because when those hats were popular like in 1983, they just called them 'kangaroo hats.'  i never knew the name of the brand till now.  icp mentions the hats in a 'song' called 'wtf is happenin now' but they call it 'fisherman hat with the kangaroo.'  k and i'm well aware i won't learn the proper name for anything from icp, nor how fucking magnets work, but i'm just saying.

uggs aren't all that ugly, i dig them, but i generally can't walk in slippers and my boots are like pieces of furniture, not soft.  even my moccasins are knobbly soled.  i can see how you couldn't hike in them.  and dont feel bad.  two and a half decades ago it was moon boots, and then those goddamn fuzzy boots.  and leg warmers.  it's always been some kind of asshole leg equipment to wear with short shorts.

now i am even more confused and i have an icp song stuck in my head.
