I also am quite aware that some people have a glasses fetish. IE: Noticeable decline in usual hittings-on sans glasses. I never know if it's me or the spectacles. Most of the time I don't care because I'm too annoyed that I'm getting hit-on by a coworker.

...Not that I'm taking advantage of that fact. I've had glasses since before I had a proper sex drive. I just happen to like more extravagant vintage frames. Is that considered glasses-porn?

And now, onto the glasses thing:  I make passes at girls who wear glasses and I'm not even a boy.  I always wanted glasses and will forever hope my perfect vision is slighted due to some crazy accident or something.  (I cannot fake it.)  When I was a kid, I thought that hurting my eye would get me glasses, so I pretended to fall on the ground and fall directly ON MY EYE.  My (drunk at the time) dad took me to the ER and all I got was an eye patch and some ice.  So, you chicks, work those sexy glasses, because I can't.

Neither can I tell you why people like glasses. It's just they do. Some like tattooed/pierced people, and other like glasses (i like all of those combined)

You don't have to wear them; in this day and age, there are a handful of ways for people to not wear glasses, from just choosing not to and having impaired vision to laser surgery. And then alternatively, there are dozens of people who don't need glasses but choose to wear fake ones anyway just because they like the aesthetic of it. Some people hate glasses, wearing them and seeing them on other people, while other people love them. It very much does come down to taste and personal attractions.

I feel ridiculous without my glasses on. I feel like they add another aspect to my face. Then again, I couldn't tell you the last time I had a pass made at me. I could also be really bad at noticing these things.

Then that's also a reason I hate glasses in general. I can't have eye surgery. I've got -8, which makes me practically blind without glasses. I don't like them, I don't like wearing them. I do wear contact lenses occasionally, but I can't afford having them all the time. No one has ever made a pass at me either.

So no, I don't like glasses, and you're right, for most people it is a choice .
