QUESTION about donating money to the Danger Ensemble.
« on: November 16, 2008, 02:26:36 PM »

I would like to donate money to the Danger Ensemble during one of the two Paradise shows in Boston, MA. The problem is, is that I am not 18 so I cant attend the show itself... can I still donate the money?

Any ideas?
It's cold hard cash, not electronic.

Thanks,
-John

lurk around the venue before the show, they'll most likely be around, getting on/off the tour bus etc. i'm sure they'd appreciate you going there to give them tips...

cause if i understand what you mean, you can't use the internet tips hat?

Yeah, it's actually money, so the virtual hat is not an option for me.

I really hope I am given the oppurtunity to give them the money.

well i was a few hours early at the gig here in ghent, belgium. and the danger ensemble were constantly walking in and out. kat even came up to us to ask somethings. steven commented amanda on how long we had been there.. i guess it'll be about the same around there.

if you go there, you'll see them for sure O0

Is it okay if I just hand them the money?

Or will there be an actual place to put the money... or does it not even matter, lol

lol no, they don't go around with a tip hat before shows... just put it in an envelope and give it to them  :) they'll really appreciate it.

same here, got there at 2:30, show started at 8
my friend and i were the only ones in line, till about 5pm, when Niels and his friends got there and amanda walked in  :o
we were the only ones there till about 7 or 7:30..

and @ john: i think it's real cool that you're willing to go there to just give money to the danger ensemble, even though you can't go to the show  O0 i think they'll appreciate the money even more in those cases..

Yeah, at both the shows in Ghent & Tilburg they were outside before the show.
Also, if it's an 18+ show, there's a chance they'll do an all-ages thing again, so you can just go there!

I'm pretty sure that the all-age convergences are free.

definitely before. in europe the 2 convergences ( ithink they were 2) were open air. she'll tell in due time, if they do one, don't worry.

It's great that you want to support the Danger Ensemble but since the shows are going to be in late November I think it is unlikely that there will be a Boston convergence.  It looks like the predicted HIGH temperatures will probably be in the 30's or 40's. Not much fun for an outdoor show and AFP doesn't really need to add pneumonia to accompany her poor foot.

Like others, I think you have a good chance of seeing them if you show up. I don't know the venue but sometimes the tour bus is nearby.  If so, it wouldn't hurt to hang around there for a bit.
