I'm writing an article for the Christmas issue of my student newspaper... just trying to figure out how to make it "festive!"

SANTA IS PRO-BELLY... AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!

(Actually, it would be a really interesting article to compare the jolliness associated with Santa's rather large belly and the hate that RR is treating Amanda's tiny belly with -- and what that means in terms of history, media, sexism...)

I am very late on the belly lovin', but I would like to add that I support Amanda's belly.  I am a little bit taller than Amanda, but we're about the same size and shape (okay, my ta-ta's are bigger, sorry, Amanda).  I kickbox take care of myself, but...still, I have the belly.  

I have had small children tell me that I am having a baby because of my belly.  I told the small children's parents that their children are obnoxious.  So, belly love for all.

Yeah, this also happened to me in the bus some weeks ago.. an older woman offered me her seat because of my "condition".. this was strange.. but somehow funny..
But then my own mother asked me to go to the gynaecologist to check my belly..... this made me really think about it all

I've never had that happen (yet) in NYC, but that's probably because I walk everywhere during the summer and wear a coat in the winter when I do take public transportation, so the belly is minimized.  I did, though, offer my seat to a little old lady on the bus once who turned out to have the same name as me (Sally). 

I had a nurse at the gyno ask me if I was pregnant.  It was very awkward, because I was there for a check up to get more birth control.
