Everyone in here looks amazing and are so cute :O So now I will ruin this pretty thread with my kilt and my goat and my double chins.  1½ years ago. I still look pretty much the same, except for the goat part. And my hair looks a lot better.

Geansaí is a jumper, but some digging told me that the most common word for it would léine which we were always taught is a shirt, but can apparently describe any top that isn't an actual jumper.

In my family, we are taught that the English are horrible people who will knock you down and take your potatoes.  I am not joking.  There is this ancestral anti-English RAGE passed down through my family.  It is not healthy.  My grandmother on my mom's side would not come to the wedding if I or my sister married an Englishman.  Fortunately, after their generation it turns into a generic dislike of the English, and when you hit the generation that includes me, my sister, and our cousins, it's really more of a lack of understanding of why British accents are so special.
