Well, I'm new to the Shadowbox and this is actually my first post (I've lurked for quite awhile, but I saw this thread and decided to join.) I'm 18 years old and a cancer survivor myself. So I know what you're feeling, and well, if ya need someone to talk to who gets it, I guess I'd be your lady.

I'm sending good thoughts towards you and your dad. I will say this - no matter how terrible it may seem, the absolute worst can bring about the most surprising (and wonderful) changes in people. Your dad sounds like a strong person, you said he's always been self sufficient: trust me, that quality above all odds and other qualities is the one that gets people through things like this.

Thank you hun. I just got more news. The doctors in Hungary agree. The leg has to come off from the middle of his shin. So I am fucking scared shitless for him. My mom is at his house now I'll go see him tomorrow.

I can't imagine the bravery a young girl must have to had lived with such a disease. You are truly fucking amazing hun.

I wish him (and you) the best of luck. Do you know how he feels about all of it? I can't imagine actually living without a body part. But I guess the thing to focus on that it'll be the best for him and help the disease from spreading. *hug*

Thank you. It really means a lot when people say things like that. It almost makes it all worth it. :P
