! mark takes pictures too !
« on: August 09, 2007, 01:11:18 PM »

yeah, yeah, everyone's doing it.  i tried filckr awhile ago and couldn't "get into it".  something about the set-up i didn't like.  i like everything as simple as possible.  so, i downloaded picasa, where i can edit and organize my photos anytime, then just click "web update" or such and such, and the pictures are sent to my online album.  wonderful!  so anyway, i've gone into a mass sorting of all the photos i've taken over the years with my shitty fujifilm finepix (sooo ridiculously outdated and i spent soooo much on it 5+ years ago).  it's a work in progress, and so far i have all my favorite ireland pictures up from when i went to ireland and london a few years back.

here's a preview:

in the fields around bunratty castle

galway beaches  :love5:

harpist on the cliffs of moher.  she hid her face the whole time.  beautiful music.  my grandfather bought her cd...and then lost it.

zee cliffs of moher.  awe-inspiring.

one of the best street signs ev-ar.

oh, a lot of these are captioned "outside galway" because i really have no clue where we were.  we stayed in galway and drove for 3+ hours around ireland.

Great photos.

I so wish to go to the Irish West Coast, especially Galway and the Arran Isles. So beautiful there apparently.

wow yo.

I've a question for you, can I, if you mind, save the 3 pictures: the cliffs of moher, the field around bunratty castle, and the galway beach? because they are very beautiful and I change my desktop background often and I'd really like to put them on there.

these are all interesting

excellent choice of subjects

the sign would have been even better
close up and fillin' the frame as a portrait shot,
instead of landscape

if you ever get a chance to shot a harpist again,
try and get the lens to where their face will be centered
in the frame of the harp behind the strings

here you would have had to be on the ground a
bit from where you were standing

just a few thoughts to make these even better
