From my understanding - it may or may not have been personally ran by Amanda up until recently, where it is now used so that videos and pictures of AFP can be tagged, as well as to promote her twitter and other pages.... So although I have no idea how much or little it is ran by Amanda, I think Team AFP currently operates it as a promotional and networking tool.

This picture was first used on the OFFICIAL Amanda Palmer MUSIC page for Facebook. I believe this photo is also posted in her pictures on her myspace page and once in a blog.

She looks different because the FACEBOOK eyebrows are much thicker than her normal drawn out eyebrows, and she's wearing eyeliner a little different.
