On May 15th, Murder by Death will release part 3 of their split "7 Series", this round featuring Amanda! The release is on 7" vinyl and contains the two bands trading covers with one another.
One side contains Amanda's cover of "Three Men Hanging" (with Zoë Keating on cello and Lyndon Chester on violin), while the opposite features Murder by Death's take on "Another Year" from WKAP.
"Murder by Death rendered one of the saddest Who Killed Amanda Palmer songs perfectly," says Amanda. "And covering 'Three Men Hanging' with my string section on tour was a blast - we learned it the day before and recorded it during soundcheck and again at the show that night in Portland! Just like rock and roll should be: live, quick and dirty."
Adam from Murder by Death had this to say: "We're excited to be working with Amanda. We thought it would be a real challenge to perform a song by someone whose lyrics are so personal and revealing. After a lot of searching, we found the right song - 'Another Year'. Thanks for doing the series with us!"
This split is limited to 1,000 copies and is available for pre-order NOW at murderbydeath.com. It WILL sell out quickly, so grab your copy while you still can. In fact, it's important to remember that many have already sold (as this is being promoted through Murder by Death's channels, as well) so there are even less than 1,000 available to AFP fans.

That said. I bought the 2 tracks for 20 dollars off of Bandcamp, even though the minimum was $1.98 for both, since I have decided to give Murder by Death everything I own. I also went to the online store and got me a poster. If anyone knows of any other ways to throw money (the thing I don't actually have) at this band, do tell. I want to.
I keep playing Another Year. I keep telling myself "one more time before bed." That's about 4 plays ago...
