"Orphans" is one of my favorite tracks of the New Year!

Dude you are freaking amazing. how long have you been playing ukulele? And what kind do you have? Cause I hear there are different ones, like the strings. Mine is G C E A.

Anyway, seriously, you are super good. You should make a cd.

I've been playing 5, 6 months-ish. I have two ukuleles -- the one in the earlier videos is just a Leolani ukulele I picked up when I was in Hawai'i. The other one is an Applause Electric-Acoustic ukulele. Both are sopranos [GCEA standard tuning].

The pink one is a Mahalo... I think the red one is a Hilo. The ukulele she uses that looks like it's made out of mahogany is probably a Pono.

Dang. I've had mine for a few months, but only pick it up when I'm bored or when I feel I've been neglecting it. My main instrument is piano. I only know a few basic ukulele chords, string instruments scare me. I need to get over that and learn more... x_x

I write lots of songs. I used to write one daily but that was when my youth was alive. Anyhow, I started writing a song on Monday, I haven't finished it because I haven't been paying too much attention to it.

I wrote another one before this. It's a rather simple song, has simple lyrics and a simple tune but it goes far beyond that. I tend to do this a lot with my songs. Some people think they're funny because they have quirky lyrics but I purposely write stuff so that it sounds obscene, sounds like a normal line in a normal song with no real meaning. It goes like this:

I went to the part to shoot my arm with heroin
Then made my way under the bridge to sniff glue.
When I came home my mother was on the phone,
she was red and fantastically hysterical.
"I think Sean is dead...."
"I'm right here!" I proclaimed.
I'm here, I'm here, I'm here, I'm not anywhere else.
But she didn't hear me.
So I shrugged, removed my shoes and went to the bathroom,
what happened next scared the bejesus out of me.
I couldn't see my relfection,
that's when everything came to me,
I'm a mother fucking ghost.

I can fly to outerspace & see through a black hole.
I can walk through walls & travel at incredibly speeds.
I use my x-ray vision to scan a bunch of cute guys,
I couldn't get my hands on when I was alive.

I'm here b/c of unfinished business.
I already tried to contact Sylvia Brown but she was busy with Maury.
I went to the ceremony.
Everyone was crying.
I didn't know spirits could cry,
I thought the tears would fall right through.
And then I saw a bright light,
and I think I saw her.

It's obviously about being a ghost, really it reflects how I feel right now. I've had this idea that if I kill myself now I won't have to deal with bullshit I don't need, of course being a ghost calls for awesome super powers like walking through walls or pulling people's hair. Also watching hot guys change (hehehe). But then the idea that people will actually miss me when I'm dead creeps in. It's about wanting to be alone but being alone can also be frightening. Being a ghost means being stuck as one for a really long time and that becomes lonely and I'd like to move to the next level so I can find eternal rest.

Excuse me, it's 1:13 am and I am so fucking tired right now. I can't even comprehend anything I'm writing. Oh well.

Hell, I'd LOVE to see a WoD thread, but I doubt very many people play that.
