ok...i dunno if i should post this here, but here's the thing:

you london folk may remember me talking about some burlesque night that i set up over here in Aberystwyth...well, i am hosting another very soon (hopefully) and would absolutely love for you guys to come over and create Art about the place! and...it's by the seaside! yay!
apart from the gig i am also hoping to create some madness out on the prom by the sea...we have belly dancers, we have fire spinny thing people (who probably have a real name, i just dont know it!), and lots of other fancy things happening...i would adore it if you could join us!

I'll almost definitely be able to get there. I will just need to try and find somewhere to stay, which always causes a massive brain crisis thingy...um..when is it?

for those of you who can make it, i have room for you to stay if you need it...as for the when part: this is really up to you guys in terms of the street theater, whenever you are all mostly available...it's pretty flexible.
still setting dates for the burlesque night...will keep you update  :)

i know that if you book early enough, you can get two singles for £20 (i.e: a single from there to aber and then a single from aber back home)...we will definately have to set a date soon then for you to get the ticket early enough lol!

see: http://www.thetrainline.com/default.asp?href=&T2ID=5_2009216101734 for cheap tickets
alternativly there is always the coach, which actually takes about the same amount of time as the train...and can be done for £27 return on the nation express!

o also, my belly dancing partner in crime needs music as part of her performance and has asks:

"Do you know anyone with a portable CD player that'll be fine out doors, as I need sumut to play music on-Or even a portable power pack thing we could plug a CD player into."

she needs music for her performance...it would be better yet if we could get some live music going as well if any of you are interested (though we would still be doing the whole cd thing too as she says she is not confident enough playing to live music yet...)

if you wanna be involved and have a myspace or something where i can take a look at your work before hand do let me know (via links and such like), esp. if i haven't seen you in action before.

thanks xxx

ok, so a date has finally been set for the street theatre:
last weekend in march. at aberystwyth castle ruins...and possibly the prom

and we have also decided to hold the actual night until september, as it will give us more time to organise performers, etc
we are going to do many street performances until this time though, and we will keep you updated as to when these will be happening...i hope you can all make it!  :)

we also had a rather spontaneous photo shoot this evening, in chilly aberystwyth town, at the castle...posting pics asafp! xxx

28th march! let's hope the sunny weather stays...
« Reply #18 on: March 17, 2009, 04:26:33 PM »

we have fire staff/poi, belly dancer(s?), free hugs...and lots of extra fancy fancyness (inc. lovely wine and cupcakes!)
come! enjoy the sunny weather by the seaside.

would love some more performers (jugglers, stilts...random arty-ness), but of course you can just come to watch if you want (but do dress up, t'is a party after all!)

hope to see you there, just drop me a message so i know to expect you, and if anyone needs somewhere to stay i'm sure we can sort you out with somewhere cosy (we will also feed you!)

please reply to this thread or PM me, or message the number in previous thread

thank you!
love, miss rosie. xxx

Well...I think I can make it. But I need to know more about where I would need to go and what time I'd need to try and get there and stuff. I feel like I've got little to go on when it comes to buying tickets and things.

we are starting at around 1:00...the train to Aberystywth from london and manchester takes approx. 5-6 hours...and the coach, which is cheaper, is about the same.
for the train you have to change at either shrewsbury or birmingham...but just book the ticket to Aberystwyth, and then it will tell you were to change at.

as i say, we are starting at 1 but we are going to be around all day so don't worry if you cannot get there for this time...also, i do have space for people to sleep (bring sleeping bags hehe!) n friends of mine have also offered their sofas, if needs be!

for more info about the actual event, please check out: http://www.myspace.com/aberlesquewyth and the most recent blog there.

hope this helps! and hope to see you soon...need any more info, just let me know and i'll do my best to help.

thank you! xx miss rosie cotton

Aaaalrighttttt. I will try and make it. I will need somewhere to stay...Um... Preferably with someone who won't mind if I pull out my painting stuff and do a painting (I'm doing this thing where I do one painting every day this month www.31paintingsinmarch.tk mwahahahaha *shameless self-plugging*) and seeing as that is still in March...But yeah. I'll see if there is anyone else who wants to go that I can go with as I think 5-6 hours alone on a train or bus may actually drive me mental. Then I'll let you know.

Oh good. Because I know a lot of people who would be annoyed if someone staying at their house decided to start painting.

I won't be able to make it...too much work, too little money, and I'm hosting a party the night before, which isn't conductive to hopping on a train to Birmingham. Sorry!
