The Mac book Self Portirat
« on: February 24, 2009, 04:28:48 AM »

I know i'm a newbie and all, but i wanted to see if i couldn't get a thread going of people posting mac book or web cam self portraits.  Do your hair or your makeup, or draw on your face, light one dramatically, or cry a little, or take one right when you wake up.  Whatever, its you, how you look, in front of your computer at that moment.

I love AFP's at the end of her blogs.

here are some of my faves...

New hair August 08

here is a trashy one from november...

i call this one "blue ruin"

That's because the "insane" part of your Alyss character is taken straight from your real life.

I suppose I woulda put this under "Photos Of You", but I'm not a Mac user, and I realize you people
do things differently from the rest of us, and maybe a new thread really was called for.
I shall refrain from judging.

I think this could be slightly different to the photos of you thread? Doubt I'd ever post a webcam photo there, this seems a little more raw and real to me. I don't know, I don't usually sit in front of my computer and get dolled up for webcam photos, haha. Here is my "I just woke up" photo.

I am wearing my birthday suit.

successes! Think i've finally figured out how to use photobucket in the forum!  Apparently i was posting the wrong HTML code thing-a-ma-bob...

But i wanted to say that my photobooth on my mac book has become some sort of weird photo album that i really enjoy using to keep track of my life.  I open it up and take pictures during major life changes, or snap a picture before a frist date.  I take them after intently crying for some reason.  I have about 4 really intence crying ones... and i've realized those are about all the good crys i've had in the past 4 years, and its interesting having pictures of myself after them...  Its a really interesting way to reflect on life.  I can look through my photobooth and find a picture i took, trying to look beautiful so i could send it to my Astronaut, then not many pictuers down, i find an image with tears down my face, reminding me of the night he flew away.

I like having that stuff.  I don't know why... does anyone else?

....i'll even post one of my crying ones... I find it a personal thing to share, but i will...

ooh, im really excited to have found this topic. i also love the photos amanda posts at the end of her blogs.
alas, i do not own a mac and have no intentions of purchasing one.
BUT... that doesnt mean i wont post. i just got a new web cam for christmas (that is sadly still in the box)... and i plan on attaching it to my laptop... so hopefully i can use pictures to document my life in random settings. as soon as i get that shit figured out, i'll take pictures and post.
promise ;)

(i also plan on someday starting my own vlog... hmm *now feeling a bit more motivated*)

Please know that I'm one of the few linux users around. I'm not a Windows fan either. However, I would take a mac as a 2ndary computer if I could afford it.

hm. i totally had to re-write this post.
do you say evil little sister because i look like her? or some other reason?
just curious.

(assuming that you were referring to my pictures)
Oh, just 'cuz your picture reminds me of her...  Huh, I thought she'd posted something here, but a
quick search turns up nothing....

Anyway, no, that's not an insult.

older to newer:

If it wasn't for a harddrive wipe (or two) I'd have more random ones.

I hope you don't mind me saying that, but you remind me of Uma Thurman (when she was younger...) in this picture! prettyyy

Anyway, here's my goodmorning picture. Opening the curtains (thinking "wow, it's almost 1pm, how the hell could I sleep for so long"). You can't really see it here, but I have the most messy hair ever...

That's me at 5 AM, frustrated because I'm struggling to keep my eyes open, but as soon as I lie down all the energy in the world enters my body keeping me impatiently shifting and thinking in my bed for hours until I decide to get up and do something. That's usually when I start feeling like a zombie again.

Coffee makes me caffeinated.
And if I have too much, I get vertigo & start having trouble breathing & pass out.
I <3 coffee

Well yes, but you're Irish, and as everyone knows whiskey makes you people rowdy, so
it only stands to reason that coffee (unless spiked with whiskey) would put you to sleep.

I found that when I was drinking coffee a lot, it would make me more tired than before I had any. Lame.

This is me and the pan rack. We're hangin' in the kitchen ;D (I crack myself up).

Back at home photo, mother's day and my parents are pissed at each other - had lunch with my dad while my mom stayed in bed all day. Great to be home - can't wait to move back to Keene on the first.
On the bright side my hair looks fly and that new silk handkerchief is adorable.
