Alright, so I had this idea for a thread where people could post some of the chords of a song they've figured out and someone else can try and help finish the transcription based on the chords given. If that makes sense...

For example:

I figured out the verses of Blake Says, sent them to the Yahoo group, and someone else was able to figure out the rest based on the notes I had given them, because it was better than going on nothing...

For Ampersand, I've figured out the right hand for the intro, but I can't get the left hand. Any ideas?

I've learned The Point of it All entirely by ear, I can try and write out the chords if anyone is interested.

And I have a shitty video of me playing it up on youtube here http://youtube.com/watch?v=0mW7-BYYOaM
It was recorded the day I finished learning it so I mess up a lot in it.

Oh and I forgot to say, I can play the first verse of the Mouse and the Model.. and the ending solo part.. but the recording I have (from automaticjoy) makes it hard to try and figure out the rest of the song.. So if anyone could help with that I'd be really grateful.

and I'm only willing to do some stuff because they're a bit confusing to write down. Thirty Whacks, Chris. Lydon, Ultima Esperanza, Ampersand, Mrs. O, Lonesome Organist, and the intro to Will along with the part with the violin solo

The only song I've been able to figure out anything to is Astronaut, where the camera angles were (thankfully) enough to see her hands playing throughout enough of the song to figure out the whole thing. I'm confident enough in these chords that I posted them (and the sheet music) on the Yahoo! group, but I'd like some confirmation if anybody has perfect pitch.



Hook: bassline is D E F G, right hand is A the whole way through plus a high F, E, C, B

First verse: I'm about 90-95% sure it starts out F G C/A, and about 75-85% sure it then goes to F G and either A or C/A again, and 100% sure it loops between the two.

Subsequent verses: F G A, F G A, etc etc

Chorus: F A G (lol... hidden message?), F A G, F A G, etc etc until you get to the end and it's F C Bb



...And everything else is basically a duplicate of those four riffs. If someone with perfect pitch could make sure my first verse is right I'd be eternally thankful... I'm quite sure everything else is right or close enough to right not to make much of a difference.
