Heylo Florida Brigaders!

As most of you may have already read up on, Edgar Gonzalez and myself are (unofficially) heading up some Brigade acts for the March 26th and March 28th Florida date shows. We have been brainstorming, networking, and planning for the last month and a half for the upcoming shows. It seems now that we have a slight issue. Money. I tried saving up as much spare cash as I could, but as it is for everyone in the states THE ECONOMY SUCKS. We have a lot of stuff for the acts already, but not everything. 

Thus, we must be forced to return to the kindness and helpful hands of friends and fellow brigaders. The following is a list of items we may be in need of for the shows. All items would be (unless other wise permitted) returned to said owners after the shows are completed. Borrowing items may be the only way to get all of the many acts we have planned up and able to perform. So here goes:

- Small Crates/Flat boxes (Those soapbox-esque things we use in theatre classrooms. These would be needed for the living statues and other miscellaneous acts.)
- A small table (Like tables used in conventions or simple a card table. We MAY already have access to this but its not certain.)
- Plywood (yes...this one is kind of a Orlando crew only request because we have to paint backdrops out on them prior to the shows, then cut face holes out of them for photo op's.)
- BIG sheets of drawing paper (Like a ROLL of white paper or the like. Used to create co-op group murals, photo-op backdrops, "I was here" graffiti walls, etc.)
- (Extra) Sidewalk chalk
- Sharpie markers (COLORS would rule! For the graffiti walls, and such.)
- Baked goods! (Funeral cupcakes, Elegy Muffins, Condolence Cookies, etc. Just please, don't poison us.)

ALSO, We're still looking for the following type of folks:
- JUGGLERS -
- ACCORDIAN PLAYERS -
- FIDDLE/VIOLIN PLAYERS -
- STILT WALKERS -
- MORE HUMAN STATUES -

AND if anyone already has an act planned LET US KNOW! Perhaps WE have something that could help aid in your act that you didn't already have and etc. We're always open to help in any way we can.

I just ordered some statue/miming/whatever makeup. Complete with sparkles, because hey, what the hell.

just a bit of thrift help........ beer crates may be scrounged from bars as they probably have more than they actually want and are great for standing on, any DIY store will have an incredibly cheap and fold away table for pasting wallpaper.... perfect for masqued tea partys etc................ it sounds like you are making a real effort and i wish i could afford the airfare to be there!

Baking things would be good. After funerals people sometimes share snacks and things of this nature, so Edgar and I thought it would be a cool idea to supply the "Funeral Cupcakes". We're gunna ask that everyone who can/would like to bake/decorate some sort of cookie/cupcake/baked good (that obviously void of poison and narcotics! lol) and add them to our "Funeral Cupcake" collection. People don't have to necessarily BAKE the snacks, they could just buy them, but they must DECORATE them somehow in an edible fashion.

The idea is that there will be everyones own design of snack to add to the bunch and each will create a pretty and TASTY piece of collected "food art". Then once the majority are collected I'll take some snapshots of them and then everyone can dig in!    We're gunna try to do that at both of the shows.

Which is the main reason as of right now that we would need a table of some sort. Edgar drives an itty bitty car, and I don't even have one. Basically if you have a table, an automobile big enough to tote it to the show, and wouldn't mind it perhaps getting a little frosting and sprinkles on it, than you'd save our sweet little day.

When: Late afternoon/early evening of the shows PRIOR to the actual show.
Where: In front of the venues.

hey fl brigaders,

just wanted to let you know i'll be out there with you.  i've done an illustration - sorta skinned amanda and painted her bones day of the dead style with accompanied by a haiku.  i've printed them sorta bookmark style to hand out.  have 125 or so done so far.

oh, i'm in st. pete btw.  can't make the other fl venues.  car sucks.

i may have 3d chalk for you.  will look for it at my boyfriend's tomorrow.

i have a folding table packed in my car already.  never know when you might need one.   i'll be at state theatre at 6 to feed afp...check PM's i sent my number or just tackle me on my way in.

I'm baking today& tomorrow. I'll be going to a thrift store at some point hopefully. If you need costumes, PM me your measurements. Also, I got the makeup, and if I don't statue, I plan to put it on whoever is. K? K.
