...drinking water or squash instead of Coke all the time, and cooking real meals (with vegetables!) instead of eating take-aways and ready-meals and stuff are all things that are really easy to do, and that will probably make a big difference. ...
Will also save you a pile of money... and the rest of that is good as well.

Congrats on being ciggy-free too!

all of what Cee said!

Yeah, the money is a big thing too! I'm making Quorn chili at the minute, waiting for it to thicken up. Made way too much, but my brother's knocking about and I'm sure he'll have some. Right now the only things I can make are chili and spag bol, and they're basically the same but with different spices/herbs and kidney beans in the chili xD

As for the fags, it was surprisingly easy this time. I've cut down on my drinking, which helped a LOT, and we spent a bit more time with Seamy's mum who is really ill from smoking and still gets through like 40 a day or something. My dad's dad died of cancer when I was like a month old or so, and Dad told me about how horrible it was to see to try and make me quit, but it didn't seem to hit home because I didn't know Syd (granddad) at all. In contrast, seeing a woman who's still in her early fourties and who looks like she's about sixty, who can't get up the stairs without half-dying and who, until she got her disability car, was basically confined to the house because she couldn't hardly move herself about, is pretty fucking hard to ignore.

Part of what makes chili so marvelous is that you can put the leftover in the
fridge, and just reheat a bowl at a time in the microwave... or you can reheat
the whole pot and it gets better every time (but you have to remember to add
water so it won't dry up...)

casseroles and lasagna also do better after sitting in the fridge a day or so.

They totally do. I always make lasagna a day ahead. Heaps better that way.

Just a food safety note though, food should only be reheated once. So even though your chili might seem awesome the fourth time you heated it and ate it, it could also make you really sick.

That my friend's girlfriend is a model and she was lovely enough to put Matt and I on the guest list for Bizarre Magazine's Christmas ball. She also has a latex supplier so apparently, I'm going to be wearing latex...

what colour?

Except in latex and without the obvious bulge, seeing as you are of the lady variety.

She'd probably already know.

I learned today (over the last few weeks) that I am a really last minute sort of person. But only sometimes, oddly.
