I think that means that they "were going through an experimental phase", which is most common in college.

I do understand it's meaning.
Why it's using it as his identity now, while he's not a woman, in college, or even of typical college age is very head scratching.
But any excuse to snog I suppose.

Then they're being goofy. It's like self-identifying as "a lesbian in a man's body", which is a goofy way of saying nothing.

it was funny-ish when cee said it, but for the most part in my life i have considered that an odiously tedious phrase, used by guys who would be my friend when there's not a goddamn thing else in the big-butted blue abyss that they share in common with me, or ever will.

Today, and by that I mean yesterday, as I was leaving the pool I heard a group of girls say, "That's so gay!" and I I turned and stopped and I yelled at them. I said, "HEY! Don't you dare use gay as a synonym for stupid, if you think something's stupid say it's stupid. That's like saying, 'Oh man, that's so underage girls wearing mini skirts to attract no one.' " and they shut they bumbaclot mouths. They were with a bunch of dudes, too, but I didn't hear what the guys had to say. When I showered and left the building to catch the bus I saw the girls outside by a tree and when I walked by they stopped their chattering. I showed them who was boss.

This is awesome. Genuine respect to you, dude, for that (and for the snarky adaptation of Hilary Duff's line in that ad). I also really take issue with people saying "that's gay", because I live for righteous indignation, apparently.

Hello? Lafayette from True Blood, anybody? He and Jesus' relationship is a thing of beauty. They can be soft with each other and not lost any of the strength that makes them great characters.

I thought she was?

I didn't really pay that much attention in religion, but I know there was a Mary whore.

A lot of people think she was, and if I remember correctly the idea orginated with the medieval
Roman Catholic Church, but if one actually reads the Scriptural texts in which she's mentioned,
there's no basis for the allegation...

On the other hand, if you read The Gospel Of Mary Magdalene (available at better huggy-feely,
New-Agey bookshoppes and the like), the authors read an awful lot of feel-good feminist crap
into a very few lines of poorly-provenanced text there too.

of course if you subscribe to templar lore, she was the bride of christ.

but anyone named mary being a hooker is oral tradition, not scripture.
