my parents were on a trip in berlin and they ended up in the middle of gay pride...so they stayed and watched the parade and made videos...
so proud of them! 

but on a sad note, no pride in milano this year...which is absurd cause it's one of the most important cities in italy,
but i think it has something to do with internal fights in the gay movement there...still, so sad...

the local police found some (undisclosed to the public) evidence pointing to that; that's why the Rangers were called in. Her whole town (and just about everyone else) is also hoping that's not the case.

I tend not to be surprised when a celebrity comes out... First, I've got such a bad gaydar I never thought even the more obvious ones would be gay before I read it somewhere, second, I don't really care! It doesn't change my opinion about the person at all. Although I do think it's good overall that more celebrities come out -but it should be a non-event.

I was in a little conference-type thing for bi and lesbian women's health, and a lot was discussed about how the assumption of straightness in public places such as doctors clinic (GP in UK) is annoying... But the gist was more that when these women told honestly about themselves the doctors were shocked or disgusted, which was devastating. I don't think the assumption of straightness is a problem -after all, about 90% (if not more) people identify as straight- but the environment in which you can share that you're not if it's relevant, and the reaction to this. It should be more like someone telling they're left-handed -unusual, something that may affect things, but not a problem.
