Amanda has announced a show for the end of June in Los Angeles.

The Troubadour

As most of us know Amanda is going to take some well deserved time off from touring soon, and this might be our last chance to see her for a long while.

So what do we do?

MAKE IT EPIC!

If you have never been to an Amanda Palmer or Dresden Dolls show, then you are in for a treat, the fans like to pull together a Brigade. Are you a fan? Then join in the fun! Let your mind explode with ideas that would enhance the show, and get involved! Don't have any ideas? We'll brain storm, there is millions of ways to get involved! We can have ukulele sing-a-longs, you can do performance art, you can dress up in that really weird outfit that you've always loved but never had the guts to wear out of the house and pass out flowers, we can blow bubbles, we can read our eulogies for our dearly departed Amanda, we can collectively "WOO!". You know I'll be there with my post-it notes of love.

We all know that the line is going to be long, and boring so lets spice it up and have some fun! Amanda will love us for it!

Please contact me if you would like to get involved with all the fun, or just to say "Hi" and that your going to the show!

Its time to organize.

Amanda has announced a show for the end of June in Los Angeles.

As most of us know Amanda is going to take some well deserved time off from touring soon, and this might be our last chance to see her for a long while.

So what do we do?

MAKE IT EPIC!

There is going to be a very long line that will start to form hours before the show.  Such lines can be very boring.  But my friends, our line will be no such thing.  I know we all want to be at the front of it, so we can be front and center for Amanda's show.  So really, what is the point of just standing there?  LETS PLAY!

Things to bring and stir ideas:

-Your self, dressed colorfully and strangely. (think vintage dresses, glitter, pigtails, bright wigs, top hats, masks, vests and fishnets)
-Parasols, Amanda loves them!
-Bubbles, and bubble machines
-Any small instruments, including kazoos, ukuleles, and toys
-Jump ropes, and skip-its (remember those?)
-Side walk chalk
-Flowers


We'll sing songs, we'll blow bubbles, we'll play hop scotch.  I bet Amanda will come play with us!  We'll play all afternoon long, and save the best seats in the house for our selves.

When? Thursday June 25th.  Doors are at 8, so we should meet up at 3 p.m.  I will be there starting at noon, feel free to come early!!

Where? The Troubadour.  9081 Santa Monica Blvd West Hollywood, CA 90069.

sooo... on the mailer she sent out about what she plans to do for the rest of the year, etc, and her tour dates...
when she listed the troubadour, it said "intimate show"
what exactly does that mean? is the troubadour a really small space? or does it just mean the show isn't going to be extravagant?

I have yet to go to the troubadour, but i know its a smaller venue.

And she is getting more cozy with the fans, did you hear about the bathroom confessionals in NYC tonight?!

Bet you she comes and plays jump rope with us!

im sooo excited for this show!
im bringing 2 of my friends who are definitely amanda virgins. i just introduced them to her music a couple weeks ago. i really want to brigade and have them join just because i know they'd have a blast and its something they normally wouldnt do...
im still brainstorming
