Out of interest, how much are you paying for that?
I'll be looking for a falt after the festival.
AND, so you know, Easter road is a bit iffy. I wouldn't reccomend drinking at the pubs there, but you are within walking/cheap taxi/ day bus distance from the best areas of the city.
And if you see a really tall woman with a mop (I know this sounds weird) then walk the other way. She is terrifying.
ok... whats with the tall woman reference? that is alittle terrifying on its own  :o
Its a pretty nice apartment so im paying $1350AUD (approx 650GBP) for 9 nights at a discounted rate. Im sure after the Festival it will be a fair bit cheaper though.

For a room or for the whole flat?
I mean, WOW! On Easter road? Hell, I lived 3 years on the High Street, Royal mile, for half that a month! And I had the whole flat!
WOW. THough, I suppose that's probably the best you can do.
Easter road is a bit scuzzy... but charming in its own way.

For the whole flat. http://edinburghfestivalrentals.com/index.php/properties/property/254#property
Thats it there, I am still looking for someone to share. I tried to get closer in but it was all at least double that or totally booked out. I think it should be ok but i havent been there before so i dont really know if its a million miles out of the way or not. I was told it would take about 15-20mins to walk to most venues.

Well, you are quite far down easter road. The easiest way for you to get into town would be to walk over to leith walk and take the bus. Leith walk is an amazing place, very.... cosmopolitan (in the truest sense of the word). You can get any cuisine of the world on that street, and normally dirt cheap.

You can walk to the royal mile by heading straight up easter road to holyrood palace and the parliament, but you'd be better off getting the bus (£1.20 per ticket or about £15 for a week pass which you sort out near the train station).

Hi Guys,

Its been quite a while for me on here, but what with the fringe coming up and me actually having money and a ticket, i thought i would see if a meet was organised :)

I'm going to be travelling down on the sat and leaving the Monday, but might stay for the week. Got a hostel for the sat and there are still lots of beds in the ones i was looking at for anyone interested - I got one just off of Princes st. nae bad, ha!

I'm also well up for the puppet idea, will sort out all my materials and see what i can rustle up, but I shall post over in the command centre so not to confuse ;)

Can't wait for August, the Fringe is marvellous.

I love the Fringe.
It's annoying though, I only live half an hour away from Edinburgh, so I can't really justify staying, which means I only manage to get in for a few days at most :(
I'm totally moving there in a few years.

Does anyone else play the how-many-leaflets-can-i-get-without-asking-for-any-up-the-royal-mile game?
It's an annual event with my friends... My record is 67  :coolsmiley:
We're sad.

Oh! ALSO:
It says on the ticket website you need ID to get in?
Will my young scot card do?
Coz I don't have a passport or a provisional or anything :S
