I like the few times Alyss has actually engaged in conversation. He's worth the talk. It happens when you don't get particularly riled up at him. He rarely loses his cool with any one here. Maybe you could learn a thing or two from Alyss about yourselves. How you choose to let things that dont matter affect your life? The big things must be unbearable that way. How to be patient. And when to remain silent. He's quite good at that. A number of things.

So, were you just making these arguments these arguments to be contrarian or is there something seriously wrong with you? Insight? What fucking insight? He was just a whiny little bitch who wanted attention. Unfortunately he couldn't just complain about things like many others sometimes do on this forum, he had to be a jerk and annoy provoke and even occasionally try to intentionally hurt people. Symbiotic my arse, that's not a symbiotic relationship, that's a fucking parasitic relationship, he was a parasite. Sociopaths are incapable of offering any insight into anything, only pursuing their own means to self-gratification, in this case, provoking other people for attention. Nothing he did was clever nor smart, it required no more intelligence than that which was necessary to set up a new forum account. I may have only been here for a few months but in that time I didn't see him or his characters contribute anything of value to any discussion. None of these characters lead me to believe that he was clever or creative in any way, as a matter of fact I think he was a fucking idiot, not some Machiavellian trickster, not some great character actor, not some brilliant writer and social commentator with insight into any aspect of human psychology, just an ordinary run of the mill fuckwit. Behaviour like this shouldn't have to be ignored when it becomes belligerant. Basic tolerance extends to ignoring people when they behave in a way that annoys you, but only when that person isn't breaking the rules of the place in which they choose to be disruptive, if they do so the moderators have every right to ban them permanently. He was given plently of warnings apparently, so this wasn't entirely uncalled for. I'm probably not the most informed person to argue with you about this but I want nothing less than the ban on that unpleasant little asshole to ever be lifted.

Just realised that post was very angry and may not have sounded as clear as it could have, but this is something that really pisses me off, so I'll give you a more clear-headed response. You need to understand that there are two kinds of people who are attracted to the music we all like and share a common interest in, two extremes. There are the empowered people, the ones who define themselves as not fitting the dominant cultural standards of sexuality or whatever else who are uber-confident and have a tough-skin and then there are the people with particularly low self-esteem who don't. The empowered people on this board seem to forget about the other half. You might find ironic personal attacks and this particularly nasty kind of humour funny, but there are plenty of people here who don't. It's really easy to say 'who cares' 'just blow it off' 'why worry about things that don't matter' because it's really easy for you to do that, but maybe it's not as easy for you as it is for other people, some people do care when people are annoying, provoking or being nasty to them, acknowledging that is called common courtesy and I do think there should be a general standard for this encouraged on this forum. The few times I remember Fergus saying something that wasn't simply an attempt at being inane and annoying he was being a dick to someone, so I say good riddance.

We're people, a community, if you will, not some statistical black-and-white thing where either you're confident or inconfident or pro-Fergus or anti-Fergus. The only thing we ALL have in common is that we like the same music. Not even all music, but we all have a mutual interest in this same band, or even person. The Dresden Dolls and Amanda Palmer. So, naturally, there would be some conflict, but this is turning into a ridiculous thing.

I understand everybodies point. But the people in control, cannot get rid of some one because some members of a community can't let him be ignored. Its humanity for crissake. We dont shoot the annoying kid in class. We carry on with our lives, some better than others. Reality isn't going to be suspended because we are typing instead of talking, choosing to log in instead of being forced to attend. So long as you provoke him, or feed his game, and he responds exactly like you expect him to, and you get angry because he did exactly what you thought he'd do.......It doesn't make alot of sense to me.
