At the moment I'm on Disgaea 4... Finished the story months ago but keep coming back every now and then for mindless leveling.

I finished Portal a little bit ago, but I'm still playing it on and off. It's just ace. Waiting for Portal 2 to drop in price to buy it on Steam.

Otherwise, I'm getting my retro on. I just played 1-3 of the Monkey Island games pretty much back-to-back, and am trying to figure out what I'd have to do to make 4 compatible with Windows 7. For 1 and 2 I just bought the special edition revamped ones on Steam, and then for 3 I used ScummVM, but I don't think that'll work for 4 because it's 3D. Ho hum. Until I figure it out, I'm sticking with my text adventure games, because they're awesome. Does it count as a video game if there's no video? xD

No, those are game-books. Text adventures are where you have a dark screen and it says something like "You are in a forest. There is a sword on the floor. You can go east, west or south" and you have to type something like "Take sword" and it says "You have picked up the sword" and then you go "Go east" and it says "You are in a clearing. You can go west" or whatever.

I know what are text games, but I wasnt sure if you meant it.   

With that information, I can pretty much assure you that they are video games - those texts are produced by a video card/chip and displayed on your video monitor.

Portal 2 was an absolute tonne of fun, maybe one of my favourites of the last few years.

Also the monkey island games were fantastic... I remember playing them on my PC back when it was on like a billion floppy discs. Totally worth it though.

Excellent! Then those are the video games I'm playing at the minute xD I'd totally be reading some game-books if I had any. Used to *love* those as a kid xD

I can't wait to play Portal 2... But then again, I said I couldn't wait to play Skyrim and I've not played it yet. Partly because I don't have an xBox in easy reach any more... *sigh* The Monkey Island franchise is pretty much my favourite in the world. It's so handy not having to have the discs all the time any more. I still had the disc for 3, but because of the way ScummVM works, you don't have to use it after the first time you play.

Well, like I said, I got 1 and 2 off Steam - they did a special collection thingy where they rebooted the graphics and put speech in and all that. It's very cool.

On the other hand, you do have a girlfriend! I used to really annoy my boyfriend by ignoring him to play Fallout 3. Then I stopped playing just when he bought New Vegas, so we basically just switched places xD

Champions Online.

I have several heroes, but my current favorite is a Watchmen spoof of The Comedian, named The Funny Guy. He runs around with another spoof character of Rorshach, named Inkblot.

Our Powers? Mine is shotguns, handguns, and grenades, plus a few punches.

Inkblots powers are the ability to beat you up using every physical attack that isn't martial artsy.
