London is my second home.
I hope I'm not one of the insufferable twats you speak of.

Do you like to talk about how rich your family are? About povs in the north? About the fee-paying school you attended? About "common people"? About activities that could be considered conspicuously middle-/upper-class?

If you answered no to all of the above, you're probably not one of those twats.

Haha. I know some lovely people who tick some of those boxes.
I don't though. I'm common as muck, and genetically Liverpudlian.   O0

I love London.
Compared to people in Europe, everyone in London (the UK?) is INCREDIBLY nice. It's really quite annoying at times.
British people are too polite (yes, there is such a thing).
Unfortunately I haven't really met that many Londoners, so I can't say much about that.

It's the little things, you know? Like "mind the gap". Do you think they tell us that in Belgium? Of course they don't! If you're stupid enough to hurt yourself you probably deserved it.
All those little things really start to annoy me after a couple of days.

Not necessarily.  I could call somebody a dickhead in a very polite way and with a big smile on my face, but in reality I am still calling them a dickhead.
Quite. And Londers aren't like that; like any big city, they're full of people who are filled with self-importance merely for living in a big city.

haha, that reminds me of last week when me and my parents were waiting for our train to Brighton and this man who worked at the station came up to us and asked us where we were travelling to, 'cause one of the trains was coming in on a different track or something and they were making sure no one was waiting for their train on the wrong platform. What the hell? In what world do train station people care if you miss your train 'cause you were too stupid to check the screens?
(just to be clear, this was not in London, but I thought I'd mention it anyway since you were talking about UK people being nice/polite/whatever)

Broad, clichéd stereotypes are the entire basis of your argument. You're actually talking about just a fraction of the middle/upper class. It's ridiculous to assume that everyone lives that way and that that's what epitomises being a Londoner. You're very vocal, yet not very well informed.

A fraction of the middle/upper class which is so horribly prevalent in London.
That place sucks so much ass.
