I still think that yeah, it probably was a money thing but I thought it was a terrrrible idea and then after I saw it...it made sense to me. I feel like if they'd tried to stuff it all into one movie it would have been rushed and bits would have been skipped out like what happened with 'The Order of the Phoenix' and stuff. I loved it.

I think splitting it in two was to try and give enough justice to the whole book and provide as much as they logically could in movie format. Spacing the release out by 8 months is the money maker in my opinion. Holiday blockbuster + Summer blockbuster
