I work for my school.  I will soon have to leave my school as they do not pay me enough to keep up my tuition bills.  Whoops.

I could never be a teacher.
I am a part time French teacher (since I'm french mother tongue) at highschool... Some of my students are cool and nice and all, but most of them are just so uninterested, it's crazy.
I try and pick topics that can interest them, like social themes, politics, yet the just stare at me blankly instead of debating.
Today I had picked two texts (one pro and one con) about the role and influence of the Catholic Church in Italy. Nobody seemed to give a shit. I mean, in Italy the influence of the Church is huuuuuuge. Yet nobody saw it as a problem. BAAH I give up.

i basically get paid for doing nothing. i was working yesterday and spent most of it at the door. which basically means wear a walkie talkie and stop people if the alarm goes off. it went off twice.
when i'm on girls, i like to be on the fitting rooms, which is basically just monitoring people coming in and out of them.

You're also the first person people see coming in the door.

well i generally have a smile on my face. once, i was working at the door and greeting people, and i was thinking that sometimes mine is the only smile a person will see in a day. so i made sure it was a good one. also, i hoped that i could make one person smile, but i don't know if i did.

Captain Obvious, you have a gorgeous smile. Im quite sure you make some people feel better when they see you smiling.  O0

And I was hired on march this year to replace a guy here, who has already left the company. I was supposed to be a programmer. But on the last few months most of my work has been connected to infrastructure: email server, web server, etc etc. When they were telling me what I they expected me to do here they did mention this part, however, they told there would be a person who was going to help me with these tasks.

By the end of October this person came here to instruct me with some aspects of the networks and servers. When he was about to update the server I told him not to do so, cause it could affect some parts of the system. He took the risk and blew the application server. I fixed after a week. With  NO SUPPORT FROM HIM OR THE OTHER GUY.

Now, Im trying to fix the e-mail server - which was what that guy tried to fix at first.  And Im not an employee, Im an intern (in fact, it is a little different, but there is no word for that in english). And not doing what I wanted and what I thought I was going to do here demotivate [?] me a lot.

Somebody pinch me. I can't believe I'm doing what I'm doing, working with who I'm working with and accomplishing goals and going places I could have never imagined I'd get to go.

And I seem to be really good at my job and that makes me feel really good on both a personal and professional level.

It's like a snug puzzle piece that fits just right.
