Yes :(
Apparently they've yet to decide whether to get someone new or boost everyone elses hours a bit, since they have another staff member who started fairly recently and don't want to have to train yet another person, or something. I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

That's what they deserved.

It was quite nonsense that they hired him just because there were lots of female employees. Now that there were lots of female, they shouldn't have employed you for a trial period in the first place.

facebook is like the worst book I've ever read. the characters do not evolve one bit and the plot is going nowhere.

I have been at my current job for 8 years and in my current field for 11. I absolutely enjoy what I do.

While delivering the mail a old woman reversed into me. I managed to get out of harms way, but she did catch my front wheel. In the end she gave me an old bike so I could finish delivering everything, and I just got back from returning her bike and putting a spare front wheel on my own bike. Problem solved.

I'm working there for 2 years now, and it's boooring. But when the weather is nice I do enjoy it :)

I don't really have clothes appropriate for cafe work. Everything is overly frilly and lacey and would get in the way, or it's long sleeved, button-up attire I'd have worn to my data job, or it's too short and singletty. I only own two proper t-shirts, I wore the plain one yesterday and today I'm going to have to wear the one with the dog skeleton on it, which I hope is work-appropriate since I don't really have much else. The awkward thing is that they might not tell me if it's not. They didn't say anything to me about my piercings the first two days I wore them, they instead told my course manager who told me when she happened to visit. I hope it's not weird to ask :-\

Wasn't it Forrest Gump who pointed out that asking is how you find things out?

Anyway, in this setting, if I were your supervisor, I'd consider it 'proactive'.  O0
