Wait...so you're a chemistry/biology student yet you make incredibly kickass WHOA in-your-face art like that? There's not a lot of people like you in the world, and we need moar. It's like people are leading secret lives.

yeah, Biomedical Science student (possibly Med school student if I don't fuck up my interview too badly next week). and thanks! it pretty much is a secret life. I've only recently started showing a few people my drawings, so my friends/family are all "omg we didn't know you were artistic! why are you studying science?". heh

Because that's where the money is?

I'm not sure if I even wanna study fine arts anymore because 1 in a million people who come out of art school actually end up being a successful and famous artist. :(

There are plenty of ways to be successful without being famous.

Yeah, like the main character from Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Okay, that was a very bad comparison.

It's ok, we can be poor and happy! I'm studying art too... more specifically, fine art embroidery... people will take one look at my CV and laugh at the fact that I actually did a degree in EMBROIDERY! It's better than it sounds though, haha!
But don't worry, I think if art is what makes you happy, you'll be happy just making art even if you don't make all that much money. I'm mentally preparing myself for a future as a happy pauper.
