shoots better video (but if you wanted that, you'd buy a video camera, no?), and the Nikon

Yeah, a few of my friends have canons and I enjoy using them. Another friend has a nikon which is also easy to use, but I didn't find it as nice as the canon.
That canon there is also cheaper and from what I've read has better features an resolution.
I'm leaning towards the canon. But I still have a few months to decide. I'm going to get one during christmas sales for my trip.
