Why the need to replace the three sections above with Street-team where brigade used to be?

Is the brigade becoming a smaller thing now?

Why the need for the change?

Is the AFP Dolls camp keen to scale down brigade activities and increase on general flyering teams etc?

I think it has more to do with the whole thing becoming a lot bigger and no longer purely about performance....
but honestly no idea

The change is more about the street team than it is about the Brigade.

Things will make more sense soon, right now it's still under construction - a work in progress, so to speak. The street team is being built from the ground up and will be headquartered here on the Shadowbox - hence the forum changes.

It's a matter of re-organizing the Shadowbox to incorporate fan participation but in different ways. The street team - The Reconnaissance - is all about participation from DD/AFP fans, as is the Brigade.

Amanda Palmer's street team has previously existed only through email and very low key. The Dresden Dolls previous street team was ran by Roadrunner Records and only existed briefly. So now it's time to actually build on the concept and make it work - grassroots style. The Reconnaissance is NOT The Brigade, nor will it affect or influence it, but they are under the same umbrella - involvement.

might be worth having a sticky thread in Reconnaissance explaining the topic,
and little things, like when to post pics there versus Touring

Like I said, it's all in the works but you'll see the topics and information in The Reconnaissance will be clear and there will be a FAQ like thread that will help avoid any confusion w/ the other forums (including Touring and Brigade). They'll be posted ASAP when they're ready.
